Both these teams have struggled lately with Pitt going 2-3 in their last five games while Notre Dame is 1-4 in that stretch. The Panthers come in with back-to-back wins on the board and showed character as they rallied to down Syracuse after trailing by as many as 16 in the first half. Notre Dame was dominated by SMU in their previous contest as they were bombed at home. The Fighting Irish simply doesn’t have much in the way of scoring depth beyond the Burton/Davis/Shrewsberry trio outside of perhaps Allocco. Notre Dame is a pedestrian 8-5 at home this season but they have dropped three straight as the hosts. Take Pitt here as they earn a third straight win by taking care of business on the road here.
