We feel that Chicago has a legitimate shot at winning this one outright, but in the end that the value lies in grabbing the visitors on the runline option.
Chicago hands the ball to Matt Boyd, and we feel that he'll be able to, at the very least, match Yoshinubu Yamamoto inning for inning.
Boyd has been dominant over his first two outings, going five scorless against the D-Backs, before going six scoreless against the Padres last week. The Cubs have also been deadly at the plate early, averaging 6.40 RPG, which ranks second.
Yamamoto has also looked great early by going 1-1 with a 1.69 ERA over three starts for the Dodgers. LA though is averaging just 4.93 RPG this season.
In a contest that we see being decided late, or perhaps even in extras, we're playing Chicago on the runline option on Friday.
