The Leafs are coming into this game with a 2-0 series lead and they have been the dominant team in this series so far. They won both of their games at home by 1 goal each, but the games were not as close as the scores suggest. The Leafs won the 1st game of this series 5-4, but they were up 4-1 in that game and were running away with it before the Panthers started to come back. The Panthers only came back in the 3rd period after the Leafs had to change their goalie due to injury, but they always stayed ahead in that game as they never allowed the Panthers to actually tie it. Now the Leafs are coming off of a 4-3 win in their last game and that was a much closer game as the Leafs had to come from behind, but once they took a 3-2 lead in that game, the Panthers never looked like they were able to take it back. Woll settled into that game nicely as well and made it very hard for the Panthers to find the net on him. Now the Leafs are going on the road but they did the same thing in the last series as they took a 2-0 series lead at home and then they went on the road and took a 3-0 series lead in that 3rd game on the road, almost ending it in 4 games. They are going to be pushing to do the same in this game as the Panthers are still the defending champions and are never out of it so the Leafs are not going to quit in this game when they have a chance to pin the Panthers early in this series. The Leafs have also been very good on the road recently as they won 2 of their 3 road games in the last series and have won 5 of their last 6 road games going back to the regular season. The Leafs have struggled in the playoffs for years, but they actually have less pressure on them to win on the road while the Panthers have all of the pressure on them going back at home down 2-0 in the series. The Leafs will win this game or at least keep it a very close game by 1 goal in a loss, take the Leafs +1.5 here.
