Total: 49.50 | -105.00 Over
Result: Loss
The Lions are coming into this game with a 1-3 record this season and they are going to be hungry to bounce back in this game. They won their 1st game of the season at home against the Elks, but now they have lost their last 3 straight games. They will be hungry to bounce back in this game against a team that is still missing their starting QB, and the Lions are also getting their starting QB Nathan Rourke back for this game. The Lions have been playing in some high scoring games recently as well, seeing 54+ points total in 2 of their last 3 games and they have seen 54+ points in both of their road games this year as well. Their defense has not been good as they have allowed 34+ points in 2 of their last 3 games as well as allowing 27+ points in their last 3 straight so they are going to give up points in this game as well, giving up 34+ points in both road games this season, but their offense has failed to score 20+ points in their last 2 games and will have a much better game with Rourke back in the lineup. They are going up against an Alouettes team that is 3-1 this season and they are coming off of their 1st loss of the season after winning their first 3 games. They have also been playing in high scoring games recently as they have seen 52+ points total in their last 3 straight games. Their offense has been very good as they have scored 38+ points in 2 of their last 3 games and their defense has also been very good this season, but they have allowed 28+ points in their last 2 games now and they were shredded through the air in both games which is an area of this defense that the Lions can attack. The Lions will have a much better passing game with Rourke back in the lineup so they are going to score on this defense as they look to snap a 3 game losing streak, and the only game Rourke played in Montreal last year was a 37-23 win for his team as well. The Alouettes offense was awful last week with Bethel-Thompson as he did not throw the ball well, but he will bounce back with a better game in his 2nd straight start. The Alouettes did not attempt to run the ball last week either, but their run game has been great in their other 3 games and they will be able to exploit this awful Lions defense that has not been able to stop the run this year, which will also help them in the passing game. Between these two sides, there will be enough points in this game to push it over the total.
