RU vs. VT (Knights ML): BEST BET NCAAF
(NCAAF) Scarlet Knights (RUT) vs. Hokies (VT),
Money Line: 140.00 Scarlet Knights (RUT) (Away)
Result: Win
Rutgers will win outright, and with ease, on Saturday at Virginia Tech. While the spread is almost too much of a layup to pass up at +3.5, I lean towards the ML, as I'm very confident RU will win straight-up.

Rutgers is coming off a bye week, which was been profitable for Knights bettors when Greg Schiano is the head coach (17-8-1 ATS after a bye). Schiano's Scarlet Knights will rattle Virginia Tech QB Kyron Drones tomorrow, pressuring him with the intent of forcing him into mistakes. The Hokies have allowed nine sacks in three games, seventh-most in the country, and have turned the ball over four times (two INTs and two fumbles). The Knights allow only 12 points per game and hold opponents to just 284 yards per contest, ranking 19th against the pass (133.5 passing yards allowed per game). I anticipate RU will limit the Hokies' ground game well enough to pick off a pass or two when Drones is overeager or forced into third-and-longs.

On the offensive end, Rutgers is a reliable team because it takes care of the football (one turnover) and consistently ranks top ten in havoc allowed (i.e. few tackles for loss allowed and no fumbles/interceptions). The Hokies rank outside the top 100 in tackling and haven't stopped the run (112th in rushing yards allowed), which is a big problem against run-oriented Rutgers. The Knights average 6.8 yards per carry and rank 4th nationally in rushing yards per game, as senior RB Kyle Monangai has rushed for 373 yards (8.1 YPC) and four scores.

We will also be taking advantage of a great situational spot, as VT has a short week to prepare for Miami (FL) next week. Let's bet the moneyline and make a killing on the Scarlet Knights beating the Hokies on Saturday afternoon!
