T-WOLVES -1.5
(NBA) Timberwolves (MIN) vs. Kings (SAC),
Point Spread: -1.50 | -109.00 Timberwolves (MIN) (Away)
Result: Win
Betting Trend: Minnesota is 42-20 SU as a road favorite under Chris Finch. With the spread at 1.5, I'll take that instead of paying the extra juice for the ML.

Minny matches up well offensively and defensively against Sacramento. Defensively, the Timberwolves are a solid group with quality perimeter defenders and an elite rim protector in Rudy Gobert. They rank 6th in opponent eFG% and are 7th in opponent 3PT%. With Sacramento set to play without Malik Monk and possibly DeMar DeRozan, who is doubtful with back tightness, the Kings are down a few perimeter scoring options.

The Kings have several weak defenders, which makes up for some of the T-Wolves' offensive shortcomings. Minny can and will knock down the three-ball much more than it did in the first meeting, when Mike Conley, Jaden McDaniels and Donte DiVincenzo combined to shoot 3 for 17. The Kings rank 24th in opponent 3PT%, so that's unlikely to happen twice.

Sacramento has won seven of ten and Minnesota has dropped three straight, including head-scratching losses to Portland. This is a great buy low on Minnesota/sell high on Sacramento spot — bet on the Timberwolves to cover the 1.5-point spread!
