Stephen Nover's NFL December Total of the Month
(NFL) Dallas vs. Jacksonville,
Total: 47.50 | -110.00 Over
Result: Win
It's not a coincidence the Cowboys' offense has gotten back in top gear since Dak Prescott returned. Dallas is averaging 37.6 points in its last six games. The Jaguars' defense still remains an inconsistent work-in-progress giving up 29 points a game during the last four games.

Prescott is super efficient. Tony Pollard has proven to be a legitimate dynamic runner and Ezekiel Elliott is quietly putting together a very good season. They've combined for 1,160 yards and 18 TD's.

I don't see the Jaguars successfully containing Dallas' balanced attack. The Cowboys get back eight-time Pro Bowl tackle Tyron Smith, too, for this game to bolster their offensive line.

The Jaguars can do their share to help this total go Over. Getting a huge coaching upgrade from Urban Meyer to Doug Peterson has helped unlock Trevor Lawrence's immense talent. He's been a top-five quarterback during the last six weeks. He ranks in the top 10 in both passing yards and TD passes on the season.

The Jaguars put up 36 points and 28 points, respectively, during two of the last three last weeks against good defenses, Tennessee and Baltimore.

Both teams play fast, too, each ranking in the top-10 in tempo.
