Total: 6.00 | -115.00 Under
Result: Win
Total: 6.00 | -115.00 Under
Result: Win
This is an 8* SITUATIONAL TOP TOTAL on the UNDER Canucks/Capitals.
I think we're going to see a much tighter and lower-scoring battle than what the oddsmakers are trying to lead us to believe for a couple of different reasons.
I had a client play on the OVER in the Canucks last game in Montreal and they lost that one 5-4 overtime.
Vancouver is a decent team, but it's now lost four of its last five. It's been trading high-scoring games with low-scoring ones of late, as previous to the loss in Montreal it lost 3-0 at home to Nashville. I see this pattern continuing here in the Nation's capital.
The Canucks really had their best shot at winning in Montreal, because they have an incredibly tough upcoming road trip still, with games at Carolina, Toronto and Winnipeg after this.
This game vs. the Capitals for sure takes on added importance.
These teams haven't played since last March, Washington visited Vancouver and won by a score of 2-1.
The Capitals enter at 26-10 after a 4-3 shootout loss to Buffalo.
Washington has been trading wins and losses over its last seven games and it'll hope to keep that streak alive here with a victory (note though that the Cpitals have seen the total go UNDER the number in four of their last five after playing to three or more straight OVERS in a row.)
Both teams have been playing sub par of late and because of that I think they're going to double down on the defensive end on Wednesday night.
The play is the UNDER.
Good luck, NP
