The Rangers are 1-4 and have not played well at all this year. Thanks to the refurbishing taking place at Madison Square Garden, the Rangers have been living out of their suitcases with five straight road games to start the season. And there's a a long way to go on this endless journey, as the Rangers will eventually have played nine in a row on the road to start the season before finally getting back to MSG.
The Capitals are just 2-4 but they're at least off a win last time out and it looks as though Braden Holtby has put his game together in the net after a very shaky start. Henrik Lundqvist has struggled mightily so far for the Rangers, and they're dead in the water if their goaltending great can't get it together. He was sharper in his most recent outing, but that was in relief of the since waived Martin Biron and came after the issue had already been settled in St. Louis. I have to back the healthier and better team here at home with the Caps.
