Appalachian State is a very good team that only lost one game last season and have plenty of key players from that team back this year. The defense doesn’t have any notable players out, and offensively they have their QB and running backs which is big considering the rushing offense is their top strength. The Mountaineers’ defense will be key in this game. Arkansas State is a team that will rely on their passing offense and the Mountaineers’ pass defense has been spectacular, limiting opponents to just over 160 passing yards per game, good for seventh in the FBS.
