We have a battle of southpaws in Game 1 in Houston between Chris Sale and Framber Valdez. Valdez was actually hit hard in the playoffs for the first time in his career against the White Sox, but the White Sox are one of the best lefty hitting teams in the league.

Chris Sale has actually been very bad in his career in the playoffs, including his only start this postseason where he allowed 5 ER in the first inning before being removed. The Astros were ranked 4th in the league in wOBA against lefties this season

Look for a bounce-back from Valdez gave up 7 hits his last time out, he usually bounces back nicely in his next start and we like the fact that he beat the Red Sox twice earlier this year going 7 innings, 5 hits and 1 run both times. Friday night we look for the Houston Astros to get it done in game 1.
