Money Line: -130.00 LA Dodgers (Away)
Result: Win
Play: LA Dodgers
Rating: 10*
The Arizona Diamondbacks have scored a total of 41 runs in winning four consecutive games. They defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-3 last night, but I think the visitors will claim revenge at Chase Field on Friday.
Kenta Maeda (14-9, 3.28 ERA) takes the ball for the Dodgers. He's 8-4 with a 3.26 ERA in 14 road starts and he's 2-1 with a 3.18 ERA in five career starts against the Diamondbacks. Dodgers are 4-0 in Maeda's last four starts following a team loss in their previous game and 7-2 in his last nine starts overall.
The D'Backs turn to Zach Greinke (12-6, 4.54) who was reached for eight runs on nine hits with five(!) homers in a 10-2 loss to the Dodgers at Chavez Ravine on Sept. 5. Odds are Greinke will struggle tonight as well as he has posted a 5.08 ERA in 12 home starts on the season.
Dodgers are 9-3 in their last 12 during Game 2 of a series while the Diamondbacks are 2-8 in their last 10 during Game 2 of a series. Add the fact that the Dodgers are trying to fight of the Giants at the top of the NL West while the D'Backs are last in the division plus the revenge factor for last night's defeat and we get a great spot to back the Dodgers.
