The Washington Nationals are coming off three consecutive defeats following a 4-3 setback here at Miami on Monday. I like the Nats to bounce back with a win on Tuesday behind Tanner Roark.
Roark (15-8, 2.75 ERA) is red hot and has posted a 2-1 mark with a 1.08 ERA in his last four outings. He tossed seven scoreless innings of three-hit ball against the Mets his last time out and the Nationals are 5-1 in his last six road starts.
Miami turns to Jose Fernandez (15-8, 2.99). The 24 year old right-hander is obviously extremely strong home at Marlins Park (11-2, 1.77 ERA in 15 starts on the season), but baseball is about more than just starting pitching and I don't think the Fish should be this big of a favorite. We can note that Miami is 2-5 in Fernandez's last seven starts vs. a team with a winning record.
