The red hot Calgary Flames are aiming for a sixth consecutive win when they visit the Florida Panthers Friday night. They've played a tough schedule and are coming off a 5-1 win at Tampa Bay last night, but note that the Flames are 5-2 in their last seven games playing on no rest and 5-0 in their last five in the third game of a 3-in-4 situation. Under is 7-2 in Flames last nine road games and although they're expected to go with backup David Rittich in the crease, note that he has posted a solid 2.04 GAA through five games on the season.

The Florida Panthers closed out a four-game road trip (and snapped a three-game slide) with a 7-4 triumph at St. Louis on Tuesday. They had however averaged just 2.17 gpg over their previous 12 games.

The Flames have won the last three meetings, including a 4-2 triumph at Florida last February. I think they'll win a low-scoring contest tonight.
