Neither the Montreal Canadiens nor the Detroit Red Wings will make the playoffs, and both teams have put up pretty pathetic results lately with the Red Wings winning only one of their last 13 games and the Habs going 3-9-2 here in March.

We can however note that Montreal is 6-2 in its last eight when taking on a team with a winning % below .400 and 7-1 in the last eight meetings with the Red Wings at Bell Centre.

The Red Wings have lost 10 straight on the road while Montreal has played decent hockey in front of the home town crowd for most of the season.
