Oakland looks to bounce back after losing two of three to San Diego over the weekend. Houston was even worse, dropping all four games to the Angels. The A’s are also going for revenge as they lost both games of a doubleheader against the ‘Stros back on August 29th. Those two games were in Houston though. When the Astros came to Oakland earlier in the year, the A’s won all three games. In that series, Montas (who starts here for Oakland) had a strong outing where he threw seven scoreless innings and allowed only two hits. In that same series (next day), Houston’s Javier (Monday starter) allowed five runs in three innings and gave up three home runs. The Astros just aren’t the same team they were the last few seasons. Some of it has to do with injuries, but they are also allowing 6.5 runs/game on the road. Play on OAKLAND
