I like the A's to dip deep, play with pride, and, at the very least, take this one right down to the wire. Oakland has lost seven straight now. It's off the 8-0 loss here yesterday, but note that it's 7-3 in its last 10 in trying to avenge a shutout road loss of 5 or more runs. Houston gets caught looking past its lowly opponent today, with a 4-game series at the White Sox starting tomorrow, followed by a 3-game set at Atlanta. Cole Irvin has been a bright spot for the A's this year, as he's 6-9 with a 2.92 ERA and 1.03 WHIP. I expect him to match Christian Javier, who is 6-8 with a 3.14 ERA and 1.05 WHIP. The outright upset is possible, but the value lies in the visiting side on the runline option!
