AAA's *SIGNATURE* A.L. TOTAL "ART OF THE GAME!"
(MLB) Houston vs. Seattle, 09/08/2014 6:10 PM, Score: 1 - 4
Total: 6.50 | -105.00 Under
Result: Loss
This is an 8* TOTAL ART OF THE GAME on the OVER between the Houston Astros and the Seattle Mariners.

The Seattle Mariners will look to start their new win streak and have to be feeling pretty confident in sending their ace to the mound tonight. A date vs. the lowly Astros is just what the doctor ordered for the home side to get back on track. The M's had won five in a row before falling 1-0 in yesterday's contest vs. Texas; the lineup will surely be eager to get untracked after going just 1 for 10 with runners in scoring position in the setback. Felix Hernandez (14-5, 2.18 ERA) gets the call; Hernandez had gone 0-2 with a ballooned 5.09 ERA over a three-strart stretch before limiting the A's to a single run off three hits over eight frames in a 2-1 win over the A's on Wednesday. Hernandez has enjoyed plenty of success against Houston in the past, but the Astros come in with momentum after winning six of their last seven overall, most recently scoring two runs in the ninth inning to earn a 4-3 victory at Oakland yesterday. Unfortunatley for Oakland, sending the inconsistent Brad Peacock (4-8, 5.01 ERA) to the hill will likely mean that streak comes to an end, the right-hander is actually coming off a decent start in which he allowed three runs over 6 1/3's innings in an 8-3 win over the Angels on Tuesday; note though that it was Peacock's longest outing in more than two months and his first victory since early July. And while past failures don't neccessarily mean that one will struggle again in the future, it's definitely important to note that Peacock has flailed against the M's already this year, he's given up a combined eight runs over 11 1/3's innings in two starts vs. the home side. Despite that, the M's can't take anything for granted here, they're in a heated Wild Card race and Houston has in fact won eight of its last 11 at Safeco Field. Look for this total to go OVER the number as the game comes down the stretch.
