Stephen Nover Free Thursday NBA Play
(NBA) Utah vs. Milwaukee, 01/22/2015 3:00 PM, Score: 101 - 99
Point Spread: 8.50 | -108.00 Utah (Away)
Result: Win
The Jazz were on a 9-2 ATS run in their last 11 away games going into their current road trip. So far it has not gone well. Utah lost 106-92 to the Cavaliers last night and 89-69 to the Spurs to open the trip this past Sunday.

The Cavaliers and Spurs, though, are both playing their finest ball. Now the Jazz step way down in class as they try to salvage their road swing by winning this matchup before heading home. In their last road game before this current trip, the Jazz crushed the Bulls by 20 at United Center.

If the Jazz played in the weaker Eastern Conference, they would be a playoff contender.

The Bucks have covered only two of their past seven home games. They are short-handed down Jabari Parker and Kendrell Marshall, both out for the season. They also are missing their top shot-blocker, suspended Larry Sanders. Milwaukee still could be suffering from jet lag having played in London last Thursday. It often takes a full week before fully shaking off jet lag.

Milwaukee has a bigger game on deck hosting resurgent Detroit on Saturday. The Bucks figure to have problems rebounding and controlling the paint minus Sanders against a tall Utah front line that features a hot Enes Kanter, Derrick Favors and a surprisingly effective 7-footer in Rudy Gobert.
