Schule's 10* NHL GRIM REAPER B-L-O-W-O-U-T!
(NHL) Florida vs. Washington, 10/18/2014 3:00 PM, Score: 1 - 2
Point Spread: -1.50 | 140.00 Washington (Home)
Result: Loss
This is a 10* play on the Washington Capitals -1.5

The Panthers picked up their first win of the season last night as Sean Bergenheim's second period goal was all they needed in Buffalo. One goal is exactly what the Panthers have averaged per game so far this season, but that won't be enough against a hot Capitals who are still undefeated in regulation.

The Capitals defeated the Devils 6-2 two days ago, as Alexander Ovechkin scored his fifth goal in the last three games. Braden Holtby has been terrific, stopping 82 of 88 shots for a 1.85 GAA and has won all of his previous five starts against the Panthers behind a 2.60 GAA.

Another thing that speaks for a blowout win for the home team today is the special teams. The Panthers have only mustered one goal on the power play so far, wasting 94.4% of their opportunities with the man advantage. The Capitals on the other hand have scored 5 goals for a 27.8% success rate, while killing off 93.3% of their own penalties.

The Capitals have won 10 of the last 11 meetings.

Take WSH -1.5.
