I bet against the Grizzlies on Wednesday, and they failed to cover in a win over the Lakers in Los Angeles. Here is what I said prior to the game:
"The Memphis Grizzlies own the best record in the West at 12-2, but those two losses have come in their last two road games. They lost close games at Toronto and Milwaukee, but they are asked to cover a pretty big spread here on the road in L.A. tonight. The last meeting between these two teams saw the Grizz win by just five points at home on November 11. Memphis has a road record of 4-2, but two of those wins came in games decided by just two points (at Charlotte and Oklahoma City). There is reason to be skeptical about their 12-2 record, as only three of those wins have come against teams that currently occupy a playoff spot."
They are in a tough spot here in Portland, facing a Blazers team that boasts an 8-1 home record. Those wins have come against the likes of Cleveland, Chicago and Dallas. They've won nine straight, and look to make it 10 in a row tonight.
