This is a 8* play on the Dallas Stars.

Two struggling teams will square up tonight as the Devils are coming to American Airlines Center to take on the Stars. The visitors have won only two of their last 10 games and should be fighting an uphill battle here as well as this series have favored the home team over recent meetings. The hosts has taken down 11 of the last 14 games and the Stars have won five of the last seven in Dallas.

The Stars have won only one of their last six overall, but at least they've got their power play going, scoring in three consecutive games going 4-for-14. This could spell trouble for a Devils team that have one of the worst penalty killing units in the league, giving up a goal on nearly 24% of its chances.

Kari Lehtonen has not been at his best this season but this could be a good spot for him as the Devils have struggled to find the net all season long. Their 2.27 goals per game average ranks near the bottom of the league and they've scored only 12 goals over a 2-4-1 stretch.

The Stars defeated the Devils 3-2 after shootouts in New Jersey on October 24 in the only meeting so far this season. I expect them to make it a more clear cut case at home.

Take DAL.
