(NHL) Carolina vs. New Jersey, 12/23/2014 2:00 PM, Score: 2 - 1
Money Line: -155.00 New Jersey (Home)
Result: Loss
This is an 8* play on the New Jersey Devils.

The Hurricanes are coming to New Jersey off the back of yet another poor offensive display as they were shutout at MSG Sunday. The Devils have not impressed in front of the net lately either, but perhaps they can get some offense going versus a team they have dominated over recent meetings.

New Jersey has won all of the last four meetings and seven of the last nine on home-ice. The Canes have struggled on the road all season long, winning a NHL worst three games on 18 attempts, dropping 13 in regulation. They're not only struggling to find the net, they're also struggling on the other end of the rink giving up 3.17 goals per game away from home.

This will be the second meeting between the two teams this season, and the Devils will be looking two make it two in a row claiming the first game 2-1 in Carolina. Corey Schneider was in goal for that contest and has had the better of the Canes over his career, going 4-1-0 with a 1.81 GAA against Carolina. The same can not be said about Cam Ward who is 4-10-1 with a 2.86 GAA in his last 15 games against the Devils.

The Canes have been outscored 12-3 over four consecutive losses on the road and the Devils are looking good to take this one down.

Take NJD.
