He has put together a surprising light-out 6 weeks at 3-1 and 1.31 ERA in his last 7 games.

His opponent Gibson has been very volatile lately with just 1 quality start in September. Otherwise it was a cruel month as he gave up more than a run an inning, with an opposing batting average of .379.

The Phillies have a better offense than the Nationals, but no one has hit Sanchez well lately. Gibson has had some solid starts this year, but is not a very good bet to pitch well right now. Add to that a surprisingly good bullpen of late and the Nationals have a prime spoiler opportunity. A win against the Phillies is not out of the question, but take the Nationals to at least stay close, on the run line at +1 1/2 .
