Good spot to back the San Diego Padres to avenge a disappointing loss as a road favorite here at Coors on Monday.
Padres' veteran righty Yu Darvish (6-2, 2.28 ERA) fanned eight while allowing only two runs on three hits through seven innings against the Cubs last time out. Darvish knocked out 10 Rockies' and allowed only four hits through seven innings of a 7-0 Padres win against Colorado on May 17.
Rockies' righty Chi Chi Gonzalez (2-4, 5.74 ERA) was lit up with eight runs on 11 hits in five innings of an 11-4 loss at Miami in his last start. The Padres are averaging 5.00 runs per nine innings in their away games this season, and I think this will be another rough outing for Gonzalez.
