I'm playing on TORONTO. The Jays had been rolling before Monday's loss. Yesterday's ppd game allows them to get Ray on the mound for today's important game. That's a comforting feeling for fans of the Jays. Not only does Ray have a 2.93 ERA through 18 starts this season but he's also got a superb 0.87 ERA and 0.726 WHIP his past three starts. In his last two starts, he's got a 0.00 ERA with 19 K's in 13 2/3 innings, allowing a mere five combined hits. The Jays won 3-1 and 10-2. The last time that Ray faced the Red Sox, the Jays won 18-4. Ray struck out 10 while allowing only four hits. Including that start, Ray has gone six or more innings in eight of his past nine. He allowed three or fewer earned runs in all nine of those starts. While the Jays won't likely provide Ray with 18 runs again, they will provide him with more than enough. Jays roll.
