It is probably the best spot of the season for Michigan State to get some style points, at least so far. They opened against Western Michigan, an in-state rival with Oregon as a look-ahead. Then they faced Air Force and avoided a letdown to a disciplined team. Last week they faced another in-state rival as the directional Michigan teams simply want to keep things close.

With Rutgers next week, Michigan State has their best chance off a blowout versus a Purdue team playing just their second road game of the year. The MSU offense has not hit full speed yet this season, but it is on a streak of 12 straight games with 30 points or more. Buy against a bad defense that has allowed 35 or more in 3-of-4 games, they will hit stride this week.
