Ohio State vs Texas (total)
(NCAAF) Buckeyes (OSU) vs. Longhorns (TEX),
Total: 52.50 | -115.00 Under
Result: Win
One can easily get carried away by some of these fireworks displays lately from Ohio State, but for large swaths of this campaign, the Buckeyes were a decidedly "under" team, including one 6-1 stretch that way at midseason. The Longhorns have also played a couple of higher-scoring playoff games (aided by OT in the Sugar Bowl vs. ASU to get that one beyond 52.5 points), but also during the campaign, 7-1-1 "under" thru the SEC title game vs. Georgia. Note only two Longhorns games got beyond 52 points in the regular season, a mid-September 56-7 romp past UTSA and a 49-17 win over Florida, a non-competitive game partly due to the Gators playing their 3rd-strong QB. It would seem the Texas defense has enough speed and athleticism to somewhat mitigate the Jeremiah Smith factor and not get overrun. Note the Buckeyes allowed beyond 21 points only in the 32-31 loss at Oregon back on October 12. Play Ohio State-Texas "Under"
