Queens is genuinely excited to be in Daytona Beach and eligible for this CBI event despite still being in the transition phase to D-I and not yet eligible for the Big Dance. Late-season efforts have been encouraging for the Royals, who took A-Sun tourney finalists UNA and Lipscomb down to the wire on the road before outscoring a dangerous Northern Arizona in the first round of this event at the Ocean Center on Sunday. Perhaps importantly, Queens has had a chance to shoot at the Ocean Center rims and found them very friendly on Sunday, hitting 56% from the floor and 55% beyond the arc, led by G Chris Ashby's 22 points. The current five-game spread cover streak also includes a win at CBI quarterfinalist FGCU on March 3. Meanwhile, CSU cooled down late in the season after setting the pace much of the campaign in the Horizon, enters having lost five of eight, and hasn't played in two weeks.
