The A's two-game win streak was snapped in yesterday's 8-1 setback. Oakland won the series opener 6-5. I think Cole Irvin and the home side offer great value to bounce-back here though. Irvin (3-4, 3.02 ERA), has a fantastic 39-to-8 strikeout-to-walk ratio. He most recently allowed one run over 6.2 innings in an unfortunate no-decision to the Twins. Luis Garcia (1-3, 3.34), comes in off a decent outing vs. the lowly Rangers, going five scoreless, but note that he's yet to complete six innings in a start this year. Also note that Oakland is a sharp 7-2 in its last nine after a home loss in which it was held to one or less runs in; the play is Oakland!
