I had a play on the OVER in the opener of this three game series yesterday, and while that play came up short, I do finally expect some offensive fireworks between these two hungry line-ups on Saturday.
The Yanks hand the ball to Spencer Deivi Garcia, who has been recalled to make this start out of necessity. In three Triple-A starts he struggled, posting a 5.17 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 21:12 K:BB.
The home side counters with Spencer Turnbull, who is 3-2 with a 3.12 ERA, and who most recently allowed three runs over six innings in a no-decision to the Indians. If Turnbull has had one weakness though, it's been his performances in all "day" games where he's a pedestrian 1-2 with a 4.88 ERA.
New York has also seen the total go OVER in eight of its last 11 in trying to avenge a road loss against an opponent in which it was held to two or less runs in.
Look for this one to soar OVER sooner, rather than later.
