These teams are very familiar with each other. As far as their seasonal offensie and defensive averages are concerned, they're almost identical.
They're two of the best on both ends of the ice.
Honestly, it wouldn't be too difficult to write a convincing argument for this total to go either OVER or UNDER the number.
So why is Game 1 going to go UNDER?
Colorado has had over a week off between games. I think that's going to lead to rust on the offensive end, and I believe Colorodo wil double-down on the defensive side.
Vegas saw the total hit in four of seven vs. the Wild. In three road games vs. the Wild, the Knights saw an average of just 4.71 GPG in the first round.
During the regular season, six of these team's eight vs. each other also went UNDER the number.
Expect a hard-hitting, gritty and ultimately lower-scoring UNDER in Game 1.
