This is a 9* TOP AL TOTAL on the UNDER Rangers/Tigers.

The Tigers exploded for a 14-0 win here over the Rangers yesterday, but I expect much more of a DUEL on Tuesday.

The visitors go with Dane Dunning, who is 3-6 with a 4.22 ERA and who last pitched against these Tigers back on July 7th, allowing one earned run over five innings. Over 79 innings this year Dunning now has 85 strikeouts.

Tarik Skubal is 5-8 with a 4.36 ERA. His final start before the break didn't go nearly as well as his counterpart, as he coughed up five runs over six innings to the Twins.

Skubal will benefit from a few extra days off. Also note that he owns a respectable 3.75 ERA at home this season.

Finally, note that Texas has seen the total go UNDER in eight of its last 11 in trying to revenge a road loss against an opponent in which it conceded ten or more runs in.

I look for these hungry starters to battle into the latter frames and for this total to ultimately stay UNDER once it's all said and done.
