NFL Home Cookin GAME OF THE WEEK
(NFL) Detroit vs. Arizona, 09/27/2020 4:25 PM, Score: 26 - 23
Point Spread: -5.00 | -112.00 Arizona (Home)
Result: Loss
The Detroit Lions are 0-2 on the season and are coming off another game in which they lost a double-digit lead. They were up 14-3 on Green Bay early but could do little else in falling 42-21 to the Packers. Quarterback Matthew Stafford has thrown for 541 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. The rushing attack is led by Adrian Peterson with 134 yards on 21 carries. Tight end T.J. Hockenson is the leading the receiver for the Lions with 118 yards and a touchdown. The defense has been a sore spot for the Lions once again. They can't generate a pass rush which leaves their cornerbacks vulnerable. They have lost one corner for the season, the other starter is injured and there No. 3 draft pick looks lost.

The Arizona Cardinals have started the season out with two wins including their opening win over San Francisco. Quarterback Kyler Murray has thrown for 516 yards, to go with 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. He has also rushed for 158 yards and 3 touchdowns. Kenyan Drake has added 146 yards on the ground with a touchdown. DeAndre Hopkins has established himself as Murray's go-to guy. He has been targeted 25 times and has caught 22 of those passes for 219 yards and a touchdown. The Cardinal's defense has not been bad either this season.

Detroit is 2-11 ATS in their last 13 games overall and 0-6 ATS in their last 6 road games. Arizona is 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games against a team with a losing record. The Lions are 2-5 ATS in the last 7 meetings between these two teams while the Lions are 1-7 ATS in the last 8 meetings between the two in Arizona.

The Lions defense is BAD. Their secondary is hurt and suspect. Jeff Okudha was ranked next to last for cornerbacks last week and he will be expected to guard Hopkins or Fitz, GOOD LUCK with that. Add in that Detroit can't rush the passer and Murray should have a field day passing and scrambling. This game has blow-out written all over it.

Play on Arizona.
