I have questions about the depth of this Blackhawks team long term, but I think they get the job done tonight on home ice to open the season. I think the STL Blues lost a lot of key players in the off-season. St. Louis lost top goaltender Brian Elliot, team captain David Backes and Troy Brouwer. Losing Elliot and Backes is a huge hit to a team that has to start the season on the road at the United Center against the team who also knocked them out of the playoffs last year.
