The Los Angeles Dodgers opened the season with a four-game split with the San Francisco Giants. The Dodgers exploded for 17 runs in their first two games against the Giants but cooled down the last two as they plated just 5 runs. Justin Turner leads the Dodgers offense with seven hits and four RBI. Enrique Hernandez and Corey Seager have combined for 11 hits and seven RBI. The Dodgers will hand the ball off to Walker Buehler. Last season he was 14-4 with a 3.26 ERA and 215 strikeouts.

The Houston Astros have had a good start to the season taking three of four from the Seattle Mariners. The Astros' bats had a field day against Mariners' pitchers as they averaged a whopping 7.25. The Astros' offense is led by Michael Brantley seven hits and six RBI. He has gotten help from Martin Maldonado and Jose Altuve, who has added nine hits and 11 RBI's combined. The Astros will look to continue their winning ways by sending Framber Valdez to the mound. Last season, he went 4-7 with a 5.86 ERA and 68 strikeouts.

The Dodgers have had a day off to rest. The Astros had their offense rolling against the Mariners but Beuhler is a different pitcher. This is the start of a nine-game road trip for the Dodgers and they will want to get off to a good start. The Dodgers bats will come back against Valdez in this one.
