Point Spread: 3.50 | -126.00 Detroit (Home)
Result: Loss
The New Orleans Saints are coming off a 37-30 loss to Green Bay on Sunday night and are 1-2 so far this season. The offense is led by Drew Brees who has thrown for 760 yards, to go with 6 touchdowns and an interception. Running back Alvin Kamara leads the team in both rushing and receiving with 153 rushing yards and 3 TDs and he has added 27 catches on 31 targets 285 yards and he has scored three times. Tre’Quan Smith and Jared Cook each have 100+ receiving yards also.
The Detroit Lions got their first win of the season while handing Arizona their first loss 26-23. The offense is led by Matthew Stafford who has thrown for 811 yards, to go with 5 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. The rushing attack is led by Adrian Peterson with 209 rushing yards. T.J. Hockenson has caught 13 passes 171 yards and a td.
The Saints defense didn't look good last week, giving up 37 points to the Packers. Detroit can give the Saints problems as Stafford loves to throw the ball just as much as Rodgers. The Saints will once again be without wideout Michael Thomas, but what could be more important, they will be without both of their starting cornerbacks, Marshon Lattimore and Janoris Jenkins (shoulder), tight end Jared Cook (groin), guard Andrus Peat (ankle) and defensive end Marcus Davenport (elbow/toe). Stafford should be able to make some big plays and I like the Lions and the points.
