NCAAF Code Red GAME OF THE WEEK
(NCAAF) Clemson vs. Notre Dame,
Point Spread: -5.50 | -110.00 Clemson (Away)
Result: Loss
The No. 1-ranked Clemson Tigers go on the road to face No. 4-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Both teams are unbeaten but Clemson will be without star quarterback Trevor Lawrence. They barely came away with a win over Boston College last week with backup D.J. Uiagalelei. D.J. Ulagalelei will start at QB again this week and has thrown for 444 yards and 2 touchdowns. The rushing attack is led by Travis Etienne with 606 rushing yards and 9 touchdowns. Amari Rodgers has caught 40 passes for 586 yards and 6 touchdowns. Etienne has also added 29 catches for 434 yards and 2 scores.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will look to remain undefeated with a win. They moved to 6-0 with a 31-13 win over Georgia Tech in their last game. The offense is led by Ian Book with 1,225 yards, to go with 7 touchdowns and an interception. Kyren Williams leads the rushing attack with 600 rushing yards and 7 touchdowns. Chris Tyree, C’Bo Flemister, and Book each have 200+ rushing yards and have combined for 10 rushing touchdowns. Javon McKinley has 14 catches for 264 receiving yards. The defense is giving up just 10.3 points a game.

Clemson is 19-7 ATS in their last 26 conference games and 12-3 ATS in their last 15 road games. Notre Dame is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games as a home underdog and 10-4-1 ATS in their last 15 games against a team with a winning record.

Clemson will come into this game hyped up and ready to make a statement against their biggest challenger in the conference. Lawrence will be on the sidelines for this game which should be a huge lift to Uiagalelei to have that extra voice in his ear going over plays and giving him in-game advice. Notre Dame’s been at full strength all season long but has been very inconsistent. Notre Dame has struggled against good defenses but is facing the best defense they will have seen this year. Lay the points with Clemson in this one.

Play on Clemson.
