(NBA) New Orleans vs. Miami,
Point Spread: -3.50 | -108.00 Miami (Home)
Result: Win
The New Orleans Pelicans started the season with a 113-99 win over the Toronto Raptors. For the season, the Pelicans offense is putting up 113 points a game and they are shooting 52.5 percent from the field and 45.2 percent from deep. On the defensive end, they are giving up 99 points and their opponents are shooting 42.7 percent from the field and 30.4 percent from deep. The offense is led by Brandon Ingram with 24 points and he grabs nine rebounds. JJ Redick adds 23 points and three rebounds.

The Miami Heat dropped their first game of the season 113-107 to Orlando. As a team, the Heat are putting up 107 points a game and are shooting 50.6 percent from the field and 35 percent from deep. On the defensive end, they are giving up 113 points and their opponents are shooting 47.7 percent from the field and 35.7 percent from deep. The offense is led by Bam Adebayo with 25 points and 11 rebounds a game. Goran Dragic adds 20 points and dishes out seven assists.

The Pelicans are a young team and have little to no experience playing an early Christmas Day game. The Miami Heat committed 22 turnovers in their first game of the season and still almost pulled the game out. I look for them to get at least some of these turnovers straightened out in this game. The Heat are the more experienced team and are playing at home on Christmas.

Play on Miami.
