I think we could see an old-fashioned pitching duel in this one. The Padres will see Dinelson Lamet make his first start of the season. He was 3-1 with a 2.09 ERA and 93 strikeouts last season. Against the Brewers, he is 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA and 26 strikeouts. The Brewers will counter with Adrian Houser. He is 1-2 with a 3.14 ERA and 10 strikeouts this season. But it is not just the starters as these two teams have two of the best pitching staffs in baseball. San Diego ranks second in runs given up per game, fourth in hits allowed per game, third in walks allowed per game, and second in strikeouts per game. Milwaukee is first in hits allowed and fourth in runs allowed per game. Neither team is putting up a ton of runs either.
