TNF 10* "ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL"
(NFL) Dallas vs. Tampa Bay,
Total: 51.50 | -101.00 Over
Result: Win
The Dallas Cowboys go on the road to start the season and face the defending Super Bowl Champs the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Dallas finished last season at 6-10, missing the playoffs. Tampa Bay went 11-5 last season, earning a wild-card berth, and ended up winning the Super Bowl over Kansas City.

Dallas struggled last season after Dak Prescott suffered a dislocated ankle in the fifth game of the season. But he wasn't the only injury suffered by the Cowboys last season. La’el Collins opted out of the season, Zack Martin missed six games on the offensive line, and is out for this game. Prescott did not play in the preseason due to a shoulder strain. Without Prescott, the Cowboys were still eighth in passing offense with 260.1 yards. Dallas was only 17th in rushing offense at 111.8 yards a game and will need to improve this season. The other side of the ball is where the problem arises. They were 28th in scoring defense, giving up 29.6 points a game. Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb give a healthy Dak weapons down the field.

The Buccaneers bring back all 22 starters, which has never happened before in the salary cap era. The Buccaneers were 2nd in passing offense with 289.1 yards a game. They didn't rush the ball all that well, finishing tied for 28th with 94.9 yards a game. They were third in the league in scoring with 30.8 points a game. The defense was a strong point for Tampa Bay as they finished 8th in scoring defense, allowing 22.2 points a game.

The Cowboys averaged 32.6 points a game in the first five weeks of the season but just 21.1 points after Prescott went out with injury. The Cowboy defense gave up at least 33 points in eight of their 16 contests. Tampa Bay team that was third in the league in scoring last year. The Buccaneers scored at least 31 points in eight games last season and put up at least 24 points in five other games. Dallas's offense should be better but I am not sure of their defense. The Cowboys will be throwing the ball all over the field especially if down big. I like this game over the total.

Play on the OVER.
