The Chicago White Sox and the Detroit Tigers meet in afternoon MLB action. The Sox took a weekend series from the Cleveland Indians while the Tigers dropped a three-game set to the Royals 2-1. On Sunday, Lucas Giolito lasted 6.0 innings with five hits and one walk in a Sox 5-2 win. They will send Dallas Keuchel to the mound. He has posted a 5.18 ERA this season in 156.1 innings with 92 strikeouts and 56 walks. The Tigers couldn't get thier offense going Sunday, dropping a 2-1 loss despite Wily Peralta giving up just 2 runs in 4.2 innings. The Tigers will counter with Matt Manning on the mound. He has posted a 5.73 ERA in 77.0 innings this year with 47 strikeouts and 27 walks.

Manning has posted a 6.62 ERA in four starts in September and has a 5.76 ERA in two starts against the White Sox this season. Detroit's offense has put up at least five runs in two of its last three games. The Sox starter Keuchel has given up five earned runs or more in four of his previous six starts. As long as the Sox don't rest every one of their starters I like this game going over.
