Both teams are missing their superstars in this one as MSU’s Kenneth Walker III, and Pitt’s Kenny Pickett as well as receiver Taysir Mack are out of action. On the Surface you would have to say, advantage MSU. MSU’s weakness has been their pass defense and without Pickett, under center, it will be hard for Pitt to exploit it with an unproven quarterback. MSU can still rush the passer so the quarterback may be under duress the whole game. The Spartans should have some success running the ball without Walker and that will allow them to get big plays down the field in the passing game.
