The Broncos have won six of their last seven games. The Broncos are one of six teams in the AFC at 7-6 and fighting for one of the last two playoff spots. the Lions have lost two of three, and as bad as their defense has been if the offense is cooking they can overcome their defensive inefficiencies. But the offense has been a problem in their losses also. Detroit is fifth in rushing, and Denver has allowed the most rushing yards in the NFL. The Lions will turn to Gibbs and Montgomery in the running game to open up the play-action passing game to Amon Ra St. Brown, Laporte et al.. . The offense is averaging 252 passing yards per game and the Broncos' pass defense stands 24th.
