Auburn is allowing just 21.9 points per game. They rank first in the SEC in red zone defense, allowing opponents to score just 75% of the time, which also ranks 19th in the nation. Maryland will struggle to score without Tagovailoa under center. Auburn will rely on their running game to slowly grind out the clock and try to wear down the Maryland defense. Maryland’s defense gave up just 23.3. I don’t see big passing plays coming from either team and this could very easily be a field goal kicking contest.
