The Stanley Cup finals get under way with the Edmonton Oilers taking on the Florida Panthers. The Panthers defeated the Oilers in both regular-season matchups. The Oilers won three straight over Dallas to win that series in six games. Edmonton's goaltenders have allowed three goals or fewer in six of their last eight games. Florida is in the finals for the second straight year. They also won three in a row to close out the Rangers. Florida's goaltenders have allowed two goals or fewer in 10 of their last 11 contests. Both teams have top-notch offenses you have to give Florida the edge on the defensive end. Panthers goaltenders ranked first in average goals against with 2.42 and second in save percentage during the regular season versus 10th and 13th for the Oilers. I have been down on Skinner all playoffs but he really stepped up against Dallas after being benched for a couple of games. I am going to roll the dice in game one with Skinner.
