NFL-MLB THURSDAY SMORGASBORD
(NFL) Texans (HOU) vs. Bears (CHI),
Money Line: -125.00 Texans (HOU) (Away)
Result: Push
The Houston Texans take on the Chicago Bears in the Hall of Fame Game. Houston finished last season 10-7 and won the AFC South for the first time since 2019. Chicago finished 7-10 last season, good for a tie for third in the NFC North, and missed the playoffs for the third straight season. You won't see any of the offensive big guns for either team in this game. The Texans will have Davis Mills and Case Keenum under center as they both vie for the backup spot. Tim Boyle doesn’t figure in the battle but will see some playing time. Rookies like Jahwar Jordan and British Brooks will handle the running back duties. The Bears made a lot of change to their team, especially with the addition of Caleb Williams. He won’t see any playing time in this game but you will see Tyson Bagent, Brett Rypien and Austin Reed running the offense. Ian Wheeler and Travis Homer should see the most snaps at the running back position. Most of this game will be played by third and fourth stringers. Houston is a deeper team coming into this game. Mills and Keenum are more experienced and I will take the more experienced quarterbacks in what will be a sloppy and ugly game.
Play on Houston. This is a 2% play.
