We have an Interleague matchup that is really intriguing. The Cleveland Guardians will take on the Arizona Diamondbacks in the first of a three-game series. Arizona is 3rd in NL West. They will send Zac Gallen to the mound. He is 9-5, with a 3.56 ERA. Cleveland 1st in AL Central and will have Logan Allen towing the rubber. He is 8-4, with a 5.67 ERA. Arizona is 5-1 in their last six games and have won six straight series. The offense has been red hot over those six games, putting up eight runs per game.  The Pitching staff has posted a 9-4 record over the last two weeks despite a 4.72 ERA. They are second-to-last in the NL with a 4.52 team ERA this season. The Guardians have won five of their last seven but the two losses were their last two games. They are putting up 6.3 rns a game this season. Cleveland has the third best ERA in the AL at 3.71. Arizona has won every series since the break and took game one in four of the five.  Arizona is 6-3 on the road in the second half. The Guardians are under .500 at home since the break at 5-6. Allen will be making his first start since July 6th. I like the D’Backs to keep their run going of winning the first game of a series.
