The Miami Marlins are home to face the Chicago Cubs. The Cubs have been a disappointment this season but Miami is the worst team in the National League. The Marlins have now lost four straight after dropping yesterday's game. As disappointing as the season has been for Chicago, they are still only 5.5 games out of the final Wild Card spot. Shota Imanaga gets the call for the Cubs, He is 9-3 this season with a 3.11 ERA and a 1.07 WHIP. He has given up three runs or fewer in 20 of his 23 starts. Valente Bellozo will take the mound for Miami. He is 2-1 record in six starts with a 2.45 ERA and a 1.06 WHIP.. Bellozo has pitched really well in August, but he doesn’t have a lot of innings at the Malor League level. Neither team can count on their bullpens to shit the opposition down. The Marlins have won six of their last ten against the Cubs, The Cubs still can make a run at a WIld Card spot and can’t afford to lose to a team that has basically been waving the white flag on the season.
