(NCAAF) Seminoles (FSU) vs. Yellow Jackets (GT),
Point Spread: 10.80 | -111.00 Yellow Jackets (GT) (Home)
Result: Win
The 10th-ranked Florida State Seminoles open their season against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in Dublin, Ireland. FSU went 12-0 in the regular season but were left out of the playoffs last season. FSU returns four starters from their offensive line to block for transfer quarterback DJ Uiagalelei. He threw for 2,638 yards with 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions for Oregon State. Florida State did lose most of their receiving corps to the NFL. Last season FSU allowed just 19.8 points per game and their defense should be stout once again this season. Georgia Tech finished at 7-6 last season. Haynes King will once again be under center. He threw for 2,842 yards with 27 touchdowns and 16 interceptions and ran for 737 yards. They also return leading rusher Jamal Haynes, who rushed for 1,059 yards. They will need to improve on the defensive side, where the allowed 30.8 points per game (against FBS schools). I look for FSU to win this game but being it is the first game of the season and FSU has a new quarterback and receivers, I like Tech to keep it within the number. I look for Tech to slow the game down on the ground as as long as the defense holds up this game should be close.

Play on Georgia Tech. This is a 2% play.
